Drivers are encouraged to plan their commutes by checking ahead of time for traffic conditions as well as leaving earlier for their destinations.

The RTC gathers information weekly and publishes updates on projects that may impact your travel each Thursday.

  • NDOT, U.S. 95 Pavement Preservation Project (South of I-11)

  • Reimagine Boulder Highway

    • Greenway Rd through traffic closed at Boulder Hwy August 16 from 8pm to 5am
    • Greenway at Boulder Hwy intersection lane restrictions August 17 from 8pm to 5am
    • Boulder Hwy, Wagon Wheel Dr to Greenway Rd, two lanes open in each direction. Expect intermittent lane closures as needed between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm
    • Boulder Hwy, Greenway Rd to Water St, two lanes open in each direction between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm.
    • Boulder Hwy, Water St to Tulip Falls Dr, two lanes open in each direction between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm.

  • RTC Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red Line Project

    • Maryland Pkwy, Russell Rd to Flamingo, work hours 6:00 am – 4:00 pm.
      • Two lanes open in each direction
    • Maryland Pkwy, Flamingo Rd to Desert Inn Rd, Work hours 8:00 pm to 7:00 am.
      • Two lanes open in each direction during the day.
      • One lane open each direction at night.
      • Sierra Vista Dr Closed at Maryland Pkwy 8/10-8/17
    • Maryland Pkwy, Desert Inn Rd to Sahara, Work hours 8:00 pm to 7:00 am.
      • Two lanes open in each direction during the day.

113 – Las Vegas Blvd North

  • (NB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From northbound Las Vegas Blvd. after Owens Ave., utilize the roundabout and merge onto the 2nd or 3rd lane towards N 5th St., merge left onto 5th St., turn right onto Carey Ave., turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (SB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From southbound Las Vegas Blvd. after Magnet St., turn right onto Carey Ave., turn left onto N. 5th St., after Tonopah Ave. utilize the roundabout and merge onto the 2nd or 3rd lane towards Las Vegas Blvd., merge left onto Las Vegas Blvd., back on regular routing.

119 – Simmons/Koval

  • (NB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From northbound Sammy Davis Jr Dr. at South Bridge, continue north under the Sahara Bridge (turns into Industrial Rd.), turn left onto Charleston Blvd., turn right onto Rancho Dr., back on regular routing.
  • (SB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From southbound Rancho Dr. after Palomino Ln., turn left onto Charleston Blvd., turn right onto Industrial Rd., continue south under the Sahara Bridge, back on regular routing.

206 – Charleston 

  • (EB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From Bonneville Transit Center after departing Bay 12, turn left onto Garces Ave., turn left onto 4th St., turn right onto Bonneville Ave., turn right onto Maryland Pkwy., turn left onto Charleston Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From westbound Charleston Blvd. after 13th St., turn right onto Maryland Pkwy., turn left onto Clark Ave., turn left onto Casino Center Blvd., turn right onto Garces Ave., turn right into Bonneville Transit Center, back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – On Thursday, July 8th, from 5:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.: After departing BTC Bay 6, turn right onto Bonneville Ave., turn right onto Casino Center Blvd., turn right onto Garces Ave., turn right onto Main St., turn left onto Bonneville Ave., back on regular routing.

207 – Alta/Stewart

  • (EB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From eastbound Alta Dr. after Rancho Dr., continue eastbound on Alta Dr., continue across Tonopah Dr., continue across Martin L. King Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (EB) – 24-hour detour starting on Monday, July 6th at 6:00 p.m. until further notice: From southbound Linn Ln. after Mabel Rd., turn right onto Charleston, turn right onto Christy., turn left onto Stewart, back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From westbound Bonneville Ave. after Grand Central Pkwy., continue westbound on Bonneville Ave., continue westbound on Alta Dr., continue across Tonopah Dr., back on regular routing.

210 – Lake Mead Blvd.

  • (EB) – 24-hour detour until Monday, July 20th at 5:00 p.m.: From eastbound Lake Mead Blvd. after Shatz St., cross over Hollywood Blvd. (service the temporary bus stop at the 2nd light pole after Hollywood Blvd.), turn left onto Radwick Dr. (first street on the left after Hollywood Blvd.), turn right onto Carey Ave., back on regular routing.
  • (EB) – 24-hour detour starting Monday, July 6th at 3:00 a.m. until further notice: From eastbound Lake Mead Blvd. after Simmons St., turn right onto Tonopah Dr., turn left onto Vegas Dr., turn left onto J St., turn right onto Lake Mead Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – 24-hour detour starting Monday, July 6th at 3:00 a.m. until further notice: From westbound Lake Mead Blvd. after Englestad St./D St., turn left onto J St., turn right onto Owens Ave., turn right onto Tonopah Dr., turn left onto Lake Mead Blvd., back on regular routing.

214 – H Street/D Street

  • (H St) –24-hour detour until further notice: From eastbound Carey Ave. after Hamilton St., turn left onto Civic Center Dr., turn right onto Nelson Ave., turn right onto Salt Lake St., turn right onto Carey Ave., continue across Civic Center Dr., back on regular routing.
  • (H St) –24-hour detour starting Monday, July 6th at 3:00 a.m. until further notice: From westbound Lake Mead Blvd. after La Salle St., turn right onto Concord St., turn left onto Hassell Ave., turn right onto Martin L King Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (D St) –24-hour detour starting Monday, July 6th at 3:00 a.m. until further notice: From eastbound Lake Mead Blvd. after Simmons St., turn right onto Tonopah Dr., turn left onto Vegas Dr., turn left onto J St., turn right onto Lake Mead Blvd., back on regular routing.

CX – Centennial Express

  • (NB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From northbound Paradise Rd. after servicing Terminal 1, continue north across Russell Rd., continue north on University Center Dr., turn left onto Flamingo Rd., back on regular routing.
  • (SB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From eastbound Flamingo Rd. after Koval Ln., turn right onto Paradise Rd., continue south on Paradise Rd., continue across Tropicana Ave., and follow the airport signs to Terminal 1 (Zero Level), back on regular routing.

Deuce on the Strip

  • (NB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From northbound Las Vegas Blvd. after Oakey Blvd., keep right to remain on Las Vegas Blvd. instead of 4th St., continue north on Las Vegas Blvd., turn left onto Gass Ave., turn right onto Casino Center Blvd., back on regular routing.
  • (SB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From southbound Casino Center after Garces Ave., turn left onto Gass Ave., turn right onto Las Vegas Blvd., back on regular routing after crossing 4th Street.

Route 119 – Simmons / Koval

  • (NB) – From northbound Koval Ln. after Rochelle Ave., turn right onto Flamingo Rd., turn left onto Paradise Rd., turn left onto Sands/Twain Ave., cross over Koval Ln., and continue back on regular routing.
  • (SB) – From eastbound Sands Ave. after Las Vegas Blvd., cross over Koval Ln., turn right onto Paradise Rd., turn right onto Flamingo Rd., turn left onto Koval Ln., and continue back on regular routing.
