Planned Outage on 12/5 and 12/6 Along 90 Miles of I-15 Near Baker (CA) Will Impact Gas Stations, EV Charging, & Food Establishments
Travelers from 10pm to 10am Each Night Urged to Plan Ahead
LAS VEGAS, Nev – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Southern California Edison (SCE) are informing travelers about a planned power outage affecting the Baker, CA community and Interstate 15 (I-15). SCE will be conducting reliability upgrades on the nights of Tuesday, December 5th and Wednesday, December 6th — from 10 p.m. to 10. a.m. the following morning — impacting a 90-mile stretch along the I-15 near Baker.
During the outage periods, services such as food establishments, gas stations, and electric vehicle charging ports around Baker will not be available. Travelers are strongly urged to plan their journeys accordingly, considering the limited amenities during this time.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through work zones, and take alternate detour routes, if possible. NDOT works with Waze to inform the public about planned highway restrictions.
