Below is a listing of upcoming significant roadway and infrastructure projects that may impact your commutes.

Drivers are encouraged to plan their commutes by checking ahead of time for traffic conditions as well as leaving earlier for their destinations.

Private Development

  • 9/11 to 10/20 – 1 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Las Vegas Boulevard southbound, Siren’s Cove to Mirage, 2 lanes closed, Monday through Friday.
  • 9/15 to 11/15 – all day – Las Vegas Boulevard southbound, Flamingo to Bellagio, sidewalk and 2 lanes closed, Monday through Friday.
  • Through October – 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Las Vegas Blvd northbound south of Flamingo, 2 lanes closed and Flamingo Road eastbound east of Las Vegas Boulevard, 2 lanes closed, intermittently Monday through Friday.
  • Through October – Harmon, Las Vegas Blvd to Koval, eastbound 2 lanes open, westbound 1 lane open intermittently.

NDOT I-15/Tropicana project impacts include:

  • 10/1 – 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Frank Sinatra southbound and northbound, Arena to Excalibur, 1 lane closed.
  • 8/15 to 10/31 – all day – Dean Martin northbound and southbound near Harmon, 1 lane closed.
  • Through 11/31 – all day – Tropicana eastbound and westbound, Dean Martin to Polaris, 2 lanes open.
  • Through 10/31 – all day – Harmon eastbound and westbound, Jerry Lewis to Aria driveway, 2 lanes open.
  • 1/18 to 6/2024 – all day – I-15 southbound off ramp to Tropicana eastbound, CLOSED.
  • 1/18 to 6/2024 – all day – Tropicana eastbound and westbound, Dean Martin to NYNY Driveway, 2 lanes open.
  • 1/22 to 10/31 – all day – Tropicana on ramp to I-15 northbound CLOSED.
  • 1/18 to 10/31 – all day – I-15 southbound off ramp to Tropicana westbound, CLOSED.
  • 1/28 to 6/2024 – all day – I-15 northbound hook ramp to Frank Sinatra, CLOSED.

NDOT I-515 Charleston project impacts include:

  • Ongoing – all day – Charleston Boulevard eastbound and westbound between Sandhill/ Honolulu and Sacramento, 2 lanes open.

City of Las Vegas Charleston/Maryland Storm Drain project:

  • Ongoing – Charleston Boulevard eastbound and westbound, 10th Street to Fremont Street, reduced to 1 lane.

Clark County Resort Corridor project impacts:

  • 9/28 to 10/2 – midnight to 9 a.m. – Las Vegas Boulevard northbound, Tropicana to Aria, 1 lane open.
  • 9/28 and 10/1 – 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. – Las Vegas Boulevard northbound, I-215 to Dewey, 1 lane open.
  • 9/28 to 10/1 – midnight to 9 a.m. – Las Vegas Boulevard southbound, Harmon to Park, 1 lane open.
  • 9/28 and 10/1 – 10:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. – Tropicana eastbound or westbound, Koval to Las Vegas Boulevard, 2 lanes open, direction will alternate.

Dean Martin Project

  • 9/28 – 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.  – Dean Martin northbound and southbound, Oquendo to south of Tropicana, 1 lane open

Hotel Rio Project

  • 9/28 and 10/1 – 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Flamingo eastbound and westbound, Arville to I-15, 2 lanes open.
  • 9/28 and 10/1 – 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Hotel Rio, Flamingo to Dean Martin, 1 lane open each direction.

CC 215, I-15 to Decatur Project

  • Through 2/1/24 – all day – Valley View northbound and southbound, Martin to Maule, CLOSED.

NDOT I-515 (US 93/95) Improvements Nellis to Twain project

  • Through November – all day – I-515 northbound and southbound, Desert Inn to Russell, 1 lane closed

Formula 1 Preparation Project:

  • 9/28 and 9/29 – midnight to 9 a.m. –  Las Vegas Blvd southbound, north of Flamingo 2 lanes closed.
  • 9/28 and 10/1 – 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. – Harmon, Audrie to Koval, CLOSED.
  • 9/28 and 10/1 – midnight to 9 a.m. – Sands eastbound and westbound, Koval to Manhattan, 1 lane open.
  • 9/28 – 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Harmon and Koval intersection CLOSED.
  • 9/28 – 1 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Koval and Rochelle intersection CLOSED.

NDOT I-15 Widening Project

  • Ongoing – all day – Speedway under I-15, intermittent lane closures.
  • Ongoing – all day – Las Vegas Boulevard under I-15, intermittent lane closures.
  • Ongoing – 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. – I-15 NB/SB, Speedway to Garnet, 1 lane open nightly Sunday through Thursday.

NDOT Centennial Bowl project impacts include:

  • Ongoing – US-95 southbound exit 91, Centennial, Ann, Rancho Drive off-ramp closed.
  • Ongoing – Long-term closure on Oso Blanca Road from the 215 Beltway to Deer Springs Way.
  • Ongoing – Northbound US-95 at the 215 Beltway will be reduced to two lanes.
  • Ongoing – US-95 southbound at the 215 Beltway to be reduced to three lanes.

Summerlin Parkway project impacts include: 

  • Through 9/30 – Summerlin Parkway eastbound and westbound, intermittent lane and ramp closures.

Commuters should also be advised that several large events may impact traffic and cause delays.

Due to a construction project around the Bonneville Transit Center (BTC) that will take place nightly, 7:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m., from June 11 – August 25, multiple routes will be on detour in the immediate area. Please note the following routes will board at different BTC bays during this time period:

  • 207 EB will be serviced at Bay 18
  • 208 EB will be serviced at Bay 18
  • CX NB will be serviced at Bay 18

207 – Alta/Stewart

  • (EB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From eastbound Alta after Rancho, continue east across Tonopah, turn right onto Shadow, turn left onto Pinto, back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From westbound Pinto after Martin L King, turn right onto Shadow, turn left onto Alta, back on regular routing after crossing Tonopah.

220 – Ann/Tropical

  • (EB) – Nightly, Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, 7:00 p.m.- 5:00 a.m.: From southbound Hualapai after Severence, turn left onto Elkhorn, turn right onto Grand Canyon, turn left onto Deer Springs, back on regular routing.
  • (WB) – Nightly, Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, 7:00 p.m.- 5:00 a.m.: From westbound Deer Springs after Tee Pee, turn right onto Grand Canyon, turn left onto Elkhorn, turn right onto Hualapai, back on regular routing.

221 – Cactus/Horizon Ridge/Boulder City

  • (WB) – Beginning Wednesday, September 27, at 9:00 p.m., until further notice: From westbound Cactus after Escondido St, turn right onto Maryland (service temporary stop on northbound Maryland after Cactus), turn left onto Pyle, turn left onto Amigo (service temporary stop on SB Amigo before Cactus), turn right onto Cactus, back on regular routing.

BHX– Boulder Highway Express

  • (NB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From southbound Maryland after Fremont, continue south across Carson, turn right onto Bridger, turn right onto Las Vegas Blvd, turn left onto Carson, back on regular routing. 
  • (SB) – 24-hour detour until further notice: From eastbound Carson after 4th, turn right onto Las Vegas Blvd, turn left onto Bridger, turn left onto 9th, turn right onto Carson, back on regular routing.
