On Friday, August 14, the procession will depart Palm Mortuary at 1600 South Jones Boulevard, near Jones and Oakey, at approximately 9 a.m. and travels to Central Church at 1001 New Beginnings Drive, where services begin at approximately 10 a.m.

Rolling full closures will be in place along the procession route, including segments of Jones, I-11, I-15, Sahara, Las Vegas Boulevard, CC-215, Russell and Stephanie.

• North on Jones Boulevard
• South on I-11/US-95
• South on I-15
• East on Sahara Avenue
• South on Las Vegas Boulevard
• East on I-215
• North on I-11/US-95
• Exit at Russell Road and continue to Central Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive in Henderson

Services are expected to begin at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Those wishing to show their support are encouraged to gather along the surface-street portions of the route where it is safe and lawful to do so.

For everyone’s safety, do not stop or gather on freeway shoulders, ramps or medians.

RTC bus routes will detour around the funeral procession from approximately 9 to 11 a.m.

• Buses on impacted routes will detour and will not serve stops along the closed segments
• Buses may be held in place while the procession passes, then resume service
• Delays are likely system-wide, including on routes not directly impacted, and may continue past 11 a.m. as service recovers
• If your trip crosses Las Vegas Boulevard, downtown, or the Russell/CC-215 area during this window, allow extra travel time or plan around it
